For this brief the idea is to communicate a way in which the persistent English rain can be seen as a positive rather than a negative. I liked the idea that it is something that everyone can agree on: that nobody likes to get caught in a shower, regardless of political preference of personal ideas every Brit likes to moan about the rain.
I also found out that talking about the weather is Britain's number 1 trait. So a recent heavy spell of rain would be perfect material for getting through an awkward social situation.
because these ideas were very concept driven it was hard to do any designs that weren't very heavily typographic.
I think the best thing about rain is that if you are happy and enjoying life then the rain doesn't bother you. Much like the Singing in the Rain video. So I played around with some fun ideas
An umbrella's a bit like a space capsule thats safe from the outside rain with enough space for 2 people, thats pretty fun.
