Competition #1 - Arcade Fire T-shirt design

I saw this competition on Threadless (http://beta.threadless.com/arcadefire/) and thought it would be a good competition to turn around in a few days.
The brief is simply to design a t shirt that is inspired by the music of Arcade Fire.
As there is no limit on entried I decided to enter 3 designs as I quite fancy $2000 and a signed screen print.

Rationale for Design #1
This design is heavily influenced by (Antichrist Television Blues). It is about escaping from everyday life and taking away the elements that are making it monotonous and repetitive.
The image tells a story of somebody who has had enough of the stories they are being fed through the television and have decided to axe down the electricity cables and walking off to experience a fuller and more worthwhile life.

Rationale for design #2

This design is about 'wasting' time with the people that you love and not getting bogged down with the stresses and strains of everyday life. It is about running away and not worrying about the consequences.
The image shows two bags falling to the ground with no people near them, as they have already legged it.

Rationale for design #3:

"To me Arcade Fire represent a rebellion against society and any form of soul-less activity.
In this design I have removed the keys that are used to spell Arcade Fire from the typewriter which represents a bigger, industrial machine."
